ផ្កាស្រពោន -- នំមិនធំ ជាងនាឡិ

ផ្កាស្រពោន
“នំមិនធំ ជាងនាឡិ”

រឿងផ្កាស្រពោន មានសណ្ថានដូចគ្នាបេះបឹទនឹងរឿង “ទុំទាវ” ដែរ! ម្ដាយវិធាវី បានបង្ខំឲ្យនាងលះបង់បុរសម្នាក់ដែល
ជាទីសំណព្វចិត្តរបស់នាង ដែលក្នុងពេលនោះ នាយដែលជាគូសង្សារ“ប៊ុន ធឿន” កំពុងនៅរឿនឯភ្នំពេញនៅឡើយ។
បន្ថែមជាងនេះទៅទៀត ប៊ុន ធឿនគឺជាកូនអ្នកកសិករម្នាក់ ខ្វះទ្រព្យគ្មានសម្បត្តិ ពុំអាចផ្ដូចបានទៅនឹងកូនថៅកែម្នាក់
ដែលម្ដាយវិធាវីបង្ខំលើកនាងទៅឲ្យនោះឡើយ..។

ទាវបានធ្វើពលីកម្មជីវិត ដើម្បីរក្សាភក្ដីភាពរបស់នាងជូនទុំ...ដោយផ្ដាច់ជីវិតរបស់នាងដោយដៃរបស់នាងផ្ទាល់...!!!
ចំណែកវិធាវីវិញ នាងប្រកែកនឹងម្ដាយជាដាច់ខាត ពុំព្រមរៀបការជាមួយអ្នកណាឡើយ ក្រៅពីប៊ុន ធឿន ម្នាក់។

ម្ដាយវិធាវីបានប្រើគ្រប់មធ្យោបាយ ដាក់ទណ្ឌកម្មផ្លូវចិត្តមកលើនាងរហូតដល់នាងធ្លាក់ខ្លួនឈឺ..លុះលាលោកទៅ...
ទាំងប៊ុន ធឿន ពុំបានមកទាន់ដង្ហើមនាងផង...!!!! គួរឲ្យអនិច្ចា.. ផ្សែងខ្មួលខ្មាញ់ដែលប៊ុន ធឿនឃើញពីចម្ងាយ
អណ្ដែតត្រសែតចេញពីទីបរិវេណវត្តកណ្ដាល ខែត្តបាត់ដំបងនោះ គឺជាផ្សែងមច្ចុរាជបានឆក់ផ្ដាច់យកវិធាវីបណ្ដូល
ចិត្តរបស់នាយ...បាត់ទៅហើយ...!!!

សង្គម! វណ្ណៈ! យសស័ក្ដិ! ទ្រព្យធន! ទាំងអស់នេះជាផ្សែងអន្ធកា! ជាមច្ចុរាជឫស្យា ប្រហារចិត្តភក្ដី ប្រល័យសង្ខារ
វិធាវី ដោយអយុត្តិធ៌មជាទីបំផុត...ក្រោមសម្រែកមហាទារុណរបស់ ប៊ុន ធឿនជន់លិចដោយសមុទ្រទឹកភ្នែក នៅក្បែរ
រាង្គកាយដ៏អភព្វ័វិធាវី ដែលអណ្ដាតភ្លើងឥតមេត្តាកុំពុងតែលេបត្របាក់យកទៅ!

ទៅម្ខាងតាមគតិរបស់គាត់ក្នុងឋានៈគាត់ជាម្ដាយ ដែលក្នុងឧត្តមគតិរបស់គាត់ត្រូវបានលិចលង់ដោយឥទ្ធិពល វណ្ណៈ

វិធាវីមិនត្រឹមតែជាបុប្ផា “ស្រពោន” មួយទងប៉ុណ្ណោះទេ តែជាបុប្ផាអភព័្វមួយទងដែលត្រូវគេក្ដិចបោះចោលទាំង
គ្មានក្ដីមេត្តា មិនអនុញ្ញាតឲ្យនាងរីកទទួលតំណក់សន្សើមរាត្រី បង្អួតពិដោរទៅតាមធម្មជាតិរបស់នាងដូចបុប្ផា
ឯទៀតៗឡើយ!

វិធាវីជានារីខ្មែរម្នាក់ ដែលជាប់ក្នុងអន្ទាក់សង្គម រឹតរួតដោយខ្សែប្រពៃណីយ៉ាងតឹងរ៉ឹងបំផុត! នាងពុំអាចរើបម្រះដោយ
គ្មានសេចក្ដីសង្គ្រោះបានឡើយ! ម្ខាងម្ដាយនិងប្រពៃណី.. ម្ខាងឧត្តមគតិរបស់នាងផ្ទាល់! នាងយល់ច្បាស់ណាស់ ថា
អ្វីជាសុភមង្គលសម្រាប់ជីវិតនាង! នាងបានបង្ហាញឆន្ទៈនិងការវិនិច្ឆ័យរបស់នាង ជូនម្ដាយម្ដងហើយម្ដងទៀត
ឥតឈប់ឈរ ដោយក្ដីគោរព ។ អ្វីដែលមានន័យ អ្វីដែលសំខាន់អ្វីដែលថ្លៃបំផុតសម្រាប់ជីវិតនាង ម្ដាយនាងបានជ្រាប
ឥតចន្លោះទេ! ប៉ុន្តែ...គាត់ជ្រាបរឹតតែច្រើន..គាត់ធ្វើទារុណដល់កាយនិងចិត្តរបស់វិធាវីរឹតតែខ្លាំង! គាត់ឥតឲ្យតម្លៃ
សេចក្ដីគោរព ស្រឡាញ់ និងឧត្តមគតិរបស់វិធាវី សូម្បីបន្តិចបន្តួចសោះឡើយ!!!!

WEALTH VS. WILL 
ទ្រព្យសម្បត្តិ ទល់នឹង ឆន្ទៈ

Factors to be considered:
1) The Author of this novel made no mentioning about Vitheavy’s father. Only her mother is mentioned.
2) Social Status – Vitheavy was born into an Ordinary Farmer’s Family.
3) “Yeay Nuon – Vitheavy’s Mother” is widowed having no other son nor daughter.
4) Vitheavy is described as a Beautifully Charming, Good-hearted, Respectful, Obedient and soft-spoken Daughter.
5) “Bunthoeun” the man whom Vitheavy came to know and fell in love with while both were together in school – Yeay Nuon knew all about it, too!  He is an extraordinary farm boy who did very well in school and strived to pursue a higher education as he did, and whose social and moral qualifications exceed any expectations and, is very well accepted in the community in which he lived including Yeay Nuon except for one thing – Material wealth.

Well, I’ve already laid out some grounds for my argument now except I need to connect those dots..

First, let’s define the word “Hunger 
a. A strong desire or need for food.
b. The discomfort, weakness, or pain caused by a prolonged lack of food. 

We knew that Yeay Nuon is widowed – no spousal support. We knew that she has no other son or daughter on whom she could financially depend. We knew that she has financial weakness and discomfort and has endured a prolonged destitute financially…

What would a future financial promise “Security” sound to you when you’re in this Financially Insecure Situation? Would you accept it or deny it if one is offered?  

Driven by “Hunger, Thirst and/or Financial Personal Discomfort”, as human being, we tend to accept remedies rather than to deny them. Anything that is being offered that would enhance our “Specific Social Needs”, we woud tend to take it, would we not? But, please use our common sense again, what does Yeay Nuon have in exchange? If you say “Vitheavy”, you’re having a similar line of thoughts as I am, and Congratulations! 

Vitheavy is the only commodity that Yeay Nuon has in this “Trading Deal”. Now, let us pause for a moment and retrospect… -- Is Yeay Nuon’s attemp to trade off Vitheavy’s person under the pretext of “Motherly Love” a precedence? No, it is not! Remember Tum – Teav? Perhaps, not even “Tum – Teav” is taking the precedence!   Wouldn’t it be a fair assumption to say that Yeay Nuon also learned of this “Tum – Teav” story? And, would it be possible also that Vitheavy actually studied the story of “Tum – Teav” at school or perhaps, read it elsewhere? 

As I had already given my ¼ of ½ of a penny elsewhere sometime ago, Vitheavy may be someone’s daughter, but nobody has any “right” to assert any ownership of Vitheavy’s Happiness and/or Life” including Vitheavy’s mother! She is a separate and complete human being having her own senses independently from any other human being, or could we say “Individuality/Identity”?

Objects could be shaped or molded into a pre-designed figure or style, but Vitheavy was not an “Object”. Was she a rebellious daughter, then?  Vitheavy was not fit into the “Rebellious” Category by no means. She had been a very respectful and obedient daughter through out except for one extremely significant thing – Be submissive to signing off a decision against her own “Will” which in fact, it’s extremely difficult for any persons to do giving up our own heart and mind, not to mention our very own person, and be a “Physical Slave” to an individual whom she disliked the most!

Vitheavy is a real human being, not trading “Goods”! A “Trial Run” is simply not an option for her!

Material Possessions such as wealth may be very powerful social tools to lure some and to disguise some! But obviously, Vitheavy was not falling “Prey” into it! There must be a very strong belief conceived and bloomed from within Vitheavy’s own personal conscience that guided  her “Social Consciousness/Mentality” that led to her resistance against the theory and practices of “Nom Min Thom Jeang Nael”! Above all, it’s her own heart and mind that define her very own “Happiness”. No-one else’s! 

Vitheavy’s “Love and Life” may be tragically viewed as “Wilted” as portrayed by the author, but it could just be another eye-opening reminder that “Wealth” alone wouldn’t cut it, sometime! 

Yeay Nuon had a “Will” to break her very own daughter’s “Will” that tried to free herself from a social dungeon. Baited with material goods, “Nai-sort” the son of a wealthy fishing businessman got all the baits to hook both Yeay Nuon and Vitheavy – only Yeay Nuon bit the baits!

Vitheavy had her own intellectual wealth that served as her personal and social guidance. She saw what her mother didn’t see! She saw what most others didn’t see! Especially and particularly, she declared herself as a human being and not as trading goods! She sacrificed her life and love in a helpless protest to present that very obvious value to be recognized as what it is – I shall not be traded or sold! 

Vitheavy’s “Will” had honorably conquered the “Social oppression and Poisons!” She may be wilted and perished as a stem of flower, but her heart and love are forever “pure and still fragrantly blooming”!
